How to arrive
To start the route you can park in “Via Don Angelo Ferrari, 1 – Castelfranco” (click here for the coordinates) or, if you cannot find space, you can opt for “Via Piave, 11 – Castelfranco” (click here for the coordinates).
Both car parks are only a few metres from the start of the route. These are parking spaces designed for homes, not specifically for visitors to the bench, so please remember not to disturb the residents.
The way
The route starts in Castelfranco and plunges into the forest almost immediately. The road is well maintained and also has a few areas equipped for a nice picnic.
Although it is a short route, it has an altitude difference of 100 metres to cover in less than 1 km. For obvious reasons, I can only warn you and tell you that a steep climb awaits you for the duration of the route!
Follow carefully the gpx to avoid taking a wrong turn. The forest has several paths besides the one that goes to the bench.
When you arrive at your destination, you will see before you a panorama stretching over all the villages in the northern part of Lake Iseo. A view framed by the lake itself.
On summer days this bench is the perfect destination to take a breath of fresh air and spend a Sunday with the family.
