How to get there
The bench can also be reached by car. The road is narrow and steep, but you can also drive to the top if you wish.
However, we, as always, recommend that you tackle the route on foot. This way you will be able to fully savor the crisp air of Gattinara: lively and joyful step by step!
In the latter case, we recommend that you park at the parking lot of the “iN’s Mercato – Gattinara” supermarket (click here for coordinates). Since this is the parking lot of the supermarket, avoid leaving your car near the entrance, rather choose a place further aside so as not to disturb the business.
The route
The path is quite steep and climbs throughout its duration.
However, Gattinara wanted to ease our exertions in a nice way by accompanying us along the way with murals to admire. They are, of course, feline-themed murals!
Having passed this first section, the road continues uphill toward our destination.
In the final stretch you will be accompanied by vineyards that will make your walk more and more pleasant.
In the summertime you will also have the opportunity to see the first bunches of grapes growing among the vines.
Past the vineyards you will have finally reached Gattinara’s bench.
You will catch a glimpse of it at the bottom as it purrs at you!
Climb above it and give yourself a break after your exertion.
Without realizing it, you have just tackled a 100-meter climb!
Here in addition to the bench with its view, there is also a refreshment stand where you can eat something typical (check opening hours).
