#147 Caluso
Italy - Piedmont - Turin
The Yellow-Blue bench of Caluso is a small gem hidden in the hills of Turin.
This bench is also known as the Ninfa bench: in fact, it is dedicated to the Nymph Albaluce, the symbol of the village.
It is situated within the vine of the Gnavi farm that surrounds it.

How to get there
There is a small area at the beginning of the trail, but since it is a driveway, parking is not possible. An excellent solution is to park at “Via Vische 8 – Caluso” (click here for coordinates). The parking area in question is limited, but we trust that you will be able to find space!
The route
The trail starts with a cobblestone path that skirts a winery. Turning around the winery, the trail will begin with a fairly gentle climb then gently dipping into a grove.
Caution! In this wooded section we strongly recommend that you equip yourself with mosquito spray since the section is quite wet.
Past the grove continue straight ahead.
Be careful not to take a wrong turn: at some point the path will split in two. Continue to the right (there is in fact also a private property sign on the left). To make sure you don’t make a mistake, we remind you to follow our GPX. 😉
A few more steps and flanked by a grapevine you will begin to see Caluso’s big bench at the end.
The bench rests quietly under a tree as if to shelter itself from the summer heat.
Sit on it and keep it company while admiring the vineyards below.
