The way

The route of stage two is 15.5 km long. Despite its length, the road is very easy to follow. Compared to the previous stage of the Valerian Road, in fact, this is entirely on asphalt and has minor differences in height.

Start from Pisogne, where you will start your way to Boario Terme.
After departure, the first town you will encounter is Gratacasolo. Here you will also cross the Val Camonica cycle path.

Via Valeriana Tappa 2

Just after the cycle path, but before arriving in the village, you will pass by an industrial area with some factories.
It is an isolated piece especially on weekends. Always pay attention!

After this point, the path continues connecting Gratacasolo to Pian Camuro.
The road that connects the two villages unfolds along a wide road flanked by chestnut trees (photo on the left).
If you pass by here in the autumn, I assure you that you will also be able to make a good supply of chestnuts that you will find right along the way!

Via Valeriana Tappa 2

After Pian Camuro you will meet the town of Artogne and shortly after that of Gianico.

Along the connecting road between Artogne and Gianico you will pass the characteristic church of Sant’Andrea Apostolo.
At this point, the path is divided into narrow streets always on a paved road that lead to a farmhouse.
Once passed, the streets continue between houses where there are some guard dogs. Very often the gates of these houses are open and the dogs therefore have free access to the street.
It is not a dangerous piece, but I recommend that you always pay attention and as they say “do not wake the sleeping dog!”

Via Valeriana Boario Terme

You are now almost at the end of this stage.

Once in Gianico you will pass through houses and small streets that will lead you to the final destination.
Just before reaching your goal you will see a beautiful stone pedestrian bridge (photo on the left).
Before crossing it, take the opportunity to take a photo of the view in front of you. Immortalize this memory, just a few steps before concluding the stage.

Boario Terme is just a step away from you! The second stage ends exactly at the entrance to the Terme of Boario.

Arriving at your destination you may be lucky enough to find the thermal baths open. In this case I suggest you also take advantage of it for a visit to the latter.

Info & Advice

Attention! The entire stage does not show signs of the Valerian Road, so I recommend that you bring the gpx that I leave you below.
